When creating a painting I feel like it can be compared to breathing. You breathe in then you let it out. In painting you observe and take in your environment and surroundings. Then you attempt to creatively “breathe out” how these influences look, feel or affect you and your consciousness.
For me the real joy of painting is that it can be approached with no expectations and certainly, with no limits. A blank canvas is another opportunity and challenge to explore these endless possibilities. Colorful. Whimsical.
